North Korea staunchly supported Communism at the time and invaded the democratic South Korea in an attempt to unify the peninsula (meaning that B. is actually true).

A is also true, as Japan controlled all of Korea (before it was split) before WW2. D is also true. China did throw armed forces into the conflict to support North Korea in the Korean War.
