im pretty confused on this. its listed that there is atleast one mod on and uprunning. but when we usually need to speak with one, no mod is around. it takes a while to get to one mod, and it causes big damage. Is there a way we can know for sure that a mod is on, rather than an online showing thing?

Hey KC, well, if you fanned a mod, we should be in the online list. That being said, we admins are usually busy doing work for OpenStudy other than community management. If you really want one specific mod, ping us in a question or send a private message. Otherwise, the best bet is to report abuse. We all get those emails and one of us will come check it out. While it might SEEM like we're always in the chats, we aren't necessarily there. So report abuse and someone will come check it out.

How it would help if you knew exactly when mod is on? If there's mod and he's active he will answer, if there isn't oh well, I can't help anything and you can't just "summon" mod if you know certainly that there isn't one

KC, sometimes it shows us online while we are otherwise occupied. We do try to be online as much as possible, but there are going to be times when there's a slight delay in our response. We're trying to improve that, but meanwhile, please use the report abuse feature. 

Reporting abuse is better for you to use because ALL mods will get emailed instead of only the ones you ping or mentioned. This means that even if we are away, we will get pinged on our phones because of that email. 

Also, if you put in a detailed comment in the abuse reports, it helps us to help you much better, and handle the situation appropriately.
