watch the lectures, Be sure to read the readings and try the examples in the readings, do the problem sets, take your time and understand what is being taught, its a computer science class not a Python class - they just happened to choose Python because it seems easy to learn - that means you are on the hook for delving into the Python documentation and Python resources to give you a leg up beyond what they show in the lectures
