Perimeter of a square is equal to all the sides added together. since you have all the sides equal to each other, you can just multiply by the number of sides, and you have the perimeter. 2a/3+1 multiplied by 4 gives you 8a/3+1 3+1= 4 so you have 8a/4, which can be simplified to 2a the answer is 2a
