What happens to the carbon atom transitioning between photosynthesis and respiration? What happens to the carbon atom transitioning between photosynthesis and respiration? @Biology

This question doesn't make any sense (either of the times you asked it), but what I'm guessing is that it will become oxidized once it goes from photosynthesis (where it is more than likely now in some sugar formation) to respiration (where it will turn into a much smaller molecule such as pyruvate)...
