last questions What is the term given to the fear of communism that took hold of the U.S. after World War II? A. Blacklisting B. Great Depression C. McCarthyism D. Red Scare Which of the following terms best describes the outcome of the Korean war? A. Disaster B. Loss C. Stalemate D. Success
Would you like to try and guess the answers to these? Remember what you learned about Communism after WW2 and how worried people were about what the Soviets might do next. And don't forget what you learned about the Korean war. Remember, they're technically still at war.
1st one is c right?
and 2 is c:)
You're close! McCarthyism was definitely part of it. :) And you're right on the second one! Good job! Both North and South are in a stalemate with no clear winner. Just a cease fire.
1sr one was a right?
Almost there! McCarthy's committee blacklisted a number of people because they were simply suspected of being Communist. A number of Hollywood artists were blacklisted and couldn't find work because of him. Only two more, which one do you think it is?
red scare!!!!
You got it! An easy way to remember that is that "red" was used to indicate anything Communist back then since that was its "official" color. But everything that McCarthy did, the blacklisting, the hunts, etc. were all part of the Red Scare. People were afraid of Communism!
thanksd!!! two more questions!! After World War II, Korea was split at the 38th parallel. True False What was the purpose of the House on Un-American Activities Committee? A.
