i did the @ symbol thing with the name Ex. @djng and it would not turn blue..does tht person have to be my fan or for me to be a fan to them in order to call them for help or a question? And the person does have an account because i spelled everything correctly.

OpenStudy (mattfeury):

It doesn't seem like the user "djng" exists: http://openstudy.com/users/djng

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i know it does nt exsist

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i ment with a user tht did exsist

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i was giving an example

OpenStudy (mattfeury):

Ah, I gotcha. Well can you give us an example with a valid user? It's difficult to diagnose without a live example. Thanks :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok ill show u my post

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Did you see it?

OpenStudy (mattfeury):

Ahhh, yes I see. This is an issue with users with spaces in their username. We'll be replacing spaces with underscores. I know we've said it'll be fixed "soonish" before, but it should actually be fixed by tomorrow. But thanks for letting us know.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

But what about the others person name..they didn't have any spaces and i spelled it correctly.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Did i put to many names in one response?

OpenStudy (mattfeury):

Ah, no I see. We both got fooled by fonts: the user name isn't "dpalnc". it's "dpainc" but the 'i' is capitalized. Tricky to notice, but yea that looks like it. I would try and use the autocomplete that comes up whenever you type @ in order to avoid issues like this. Thought that may not be foolproof

OpenStudy (mattfeury):

Though*

OpenStudy (anonymous):

when i try to use the scroll thing for the auto thing tht pops up it dissapears and won't let me scroll down.

OpenStudy (mattfeury):

Hmm strange. We'll definitely have to have a look. What browser are you using and on what Operating System? For example, Firefox 4 on Windows 7.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Google chrome

OpenStudy (anonymous):

um i dont rlly knw what system... i know its by windows i believe

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and it will not let me click on the user in the pop up box as well it just dissapears

OpenStudy (mattfeury):

Ok, we're aware of the issue with clicking not working, but the arrow keys and hitting enter or tab seem to work for me. Regardless, we'll check it out.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I tied it you way and it also did not work :/

OpenStudy (anonymous):

tried

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It worked with the arrows i held the button down for abt 3 seconds @mattfeury
