a) if D gets in touch with A, B and C sequently.
b) if D gest in touch with A, B and C simultaneously.

so, I managed to answer the first question. D + A = Q/2 = D + B = Q/4 = D + C = Q/8

I can't solve the b question, though. Like, I got Q/2 but answer is Q/4.
