Can someone explain the 5 parts of the Reflex arc. 1. pain and heat sensors 2. sensory neuron 3.association neuron 4.motor neuron 5. skeletal muscle Can someone explain these to me.

OpenStudy (liliakarina):

1Skin contains pain receptors and thermoreceptors (sensors for heat and cold). Pain notifies about danger and risks, as well as wounds or diseases. 2.These cells are the ones that conduce sensorial information from sensitive receptors to SNS. They're afferent, generally pseudomonopolar though they sometimes are bipolar. 3. The association neuron is located in the integrator centres and connect sensorial and motor neurons. 4.Motor neuron transports information as impulses, from the nervous central system to the periphery (muscles or bones)- 5.Formed by cylindrical, long, plurinucleated cells, with longitudinal and transversal scorings. Fast contraction and subjected to voluntary control.
