Which of the following ordered pairs satisfy the equation below? Check all that apply. y = -4x (3, -1) (-5, 20) (-1, -4) (-6, -10) (2, -8) (8, -32)

OpenStudy (callisto):

you can simply put the x coordinate into -4x and see if it give the y coordinate of each order pair. If it does, the ordered pairs satisfy the equation

OpenStudy (anonymous):

idk how to do that

OpenStudy (callisto):

for example, for the first order pair (3, -1) put x=3 into -4x and you'll get -4(3) = -12. It is not equal to -1 as in the order pair, therefore, it does not satisfy the equation. Can you try the second one?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i really dk how to do this at all

OpenStudy (callisto):

can you try first? just follow my workings.. it won't waste you an hour to try once..
