Find and simplify the diffrence quotient f(x)=4xsq f(x+h)-f(x)/h

OpenStudy (experimentx):

4xsq ???

OpenStudy (turingtest):

\[f(x)=4\sqrt x\]?

OpenStudy (turingtest):

or perhaps\[f(x)=4x^2\]?

OpenStudy (experimentx):

the latter on perhaps

OpenStudy (turingtest):

@Courtney.soden please clarify if you would like our help

OpenStudy (experimentx):

your answer will be 2x+h

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ExperimentX you got it [=

OpenStudy (turingtest):

but did \(you\) get it courtney?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Turing Test sorry but not being exact

OpenStudy (turingtest):

that's fine do you understand how to do the problem?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I get it I been trying to work it out but kept getting 8/h+x+4h

OpenStudy (turingtest):

do you see where you made your mistake now? or do you need more help?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I see where I made my mistake though wouldnt it be 4(2x+h)

OpenStudy (turingtest):

let's see let's not write the h in the denominator, and just do the numerator first: what is\[f(x+h)-f(x)\]in this case?
