You could argue quite a couple of those actually. It is considered unethical in some societies to study human cadavers. Studying bigfoot is not oing unimportant to society, it's also unpopular. Unpopular science can get you little funding and leave you a poor, lame little scientist. Costly experiments are quite a reason not to do it, especially when technology moves at such a rate that it can end up being much cheaper in a few years. But really, this isn't helpful.
