the value, v, of a shopkeepers inventory software program is given by v=1/2t+3, where t is the number of years since the shopkeeper bought the program. what is the program worth after 4 years after it was purchased? graph the point that shows what the program was worth 4 years after it was purchased. Basically i need to know how to graph and solve thanks :)

The graph is going to be a straight line. To graph this you could use geogebra. http://www.geogebra.org/cms/ and just enter the equation on the input line. To graph by hand, graph t on the x-axis and v on the y-axis. Select any integer between 1 and 4, and plug that number into t in your equation and solve for v. So if you selected t=1 as your number, you would get 3 1/2 or 7/2 for v. Plot the point (1,7/2) on your graph by moving 1 in the positive x direction and then going up in the positive y direction 7/2 placing your first point there. You can also use geogebra to plot the individual points as you calculate them.
