I am citing an essay included in a second edition of The Tempest, but the essay I'm citing was originally published in a different anthology. Which do I cite? The original anthology or the second edition Tempest that I'm actually reading it in? I have a feeling I should just cite the original publication

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you should cite the source you are reading it from, considering that you got your information from there. If you are unsure, however, dont just cite one. do both!

You are lying if you cite the original source, because you did not actually read the original source. You should cite the exact source from which you read it.
