is an expensive antiacid tablet better than a cheaper antiacid tablet

OpenStudy (anonymous):

expensive things are always better than cheaper ones! may be it might be adultrated nullifying or reducing the basicity of the tablet u need an ant-acid which neutralises the effect of acid====>it is a base so cheaper ones may use some random material instaed of apure base

OpenStudy (stormfire1):

Compare the labels. If they have the exact same active ingredients in the exact same amounts, i always go with the cheaper version. There's no point in paying a lot more for a name when the chemical composition is the same.

OpenStudy (blues):

With pharmaseuticals, the price difference between similar products reflect differences in research and development costs which are often borne unequally by the companies producing the drugs and also differences in advertizing costs. Sometimes they reflect actual differences in the products themselves, although most antiacid tablets have pretty much the same mechanisms.

Common notion that expensive things are better than cheaper ones. But Mind you, its not true always. Sometimes, u may even get better products at low price. Who knows!!!!!!!!!!

I hope I am right.
