well to solve a system of equations you need to find out where on their graphs they connect or which numbers solve into them (which is the same answer, just depends on how you solve it) but for me, using a graphing technology means using a graphing calculator. If you know how to use a graphing calculator, just punch in the numbers and graph the system of equations and use the tracking feature to find out where they all intersect. If they don't intersect then theres no solution. Usually i use the graphing calculator when i have a particularly complex system, but i bet theres a better answer for the second part of the question.
