What type of conic section is x^2-6x+y^2-10y+18=0? A) hyperbola B) parabola C) ellipse D) circle

OpenStudy (amistre64):

im thinking elliptic or cicular; but you would have to complete the square to be sure

OpenStudy (savvy):

A CIRCLE

OpenStudy (amistre64):

9-9 and 25-25 (x-3)^2 + (y-5)^2 = -18+9+25 yep, if the x^2 and y^2 had some coeffs it might go elliptic but as is i would say a circle
