A party company sells decorations for weddings, birthday parties, and other celebrations. A local high school is having their annual homecoming dance. In order to save money, the homecoming committee made stars congruent to those sold by the party company. One of these stars is shown below. If each side of the star sold by the party company is 5.5 inches, what is the perimeter of each star made by the homecoming committee?

OpenStudy (savvy):

55inches

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

count the sides. Perimeter = outer boundary. then multiply it by 5.5

OpenStudy (swag):

so the awnser is?

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

what'd you got?

OpenStudy (swag):

im lost :/ ugh

OpenStudy (savvy):

since both the decoration pieces are congruent and so will have same perimeter... since the star has corners and each accompanied by 2 sides so 10 ides are there in total..... so since one side is 5.5 inches.. 10 sides = 55inches.. answer is 55inches
