OpenStudy (campbell_st):

factorise the fractions and then cancel common factors 1st fraction ((x - 9)(x+6))/(x - 9)^2 = (x +6)/(x-9) 2nd fraction (x + 6)^2/(x+6) = (x +6) so the problem is now (x +6)/(x -9) * (x + 6) = (x +6)^2/(x -9) = (x^2 + 12x + 36)/(x-9)
