Simplify the expression: 5(x + 2)^2 - (4x + 3)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

5x^2+6x-17 is the answer. To do this problem you have to multiply through the parenthesis so you should get something like, (x+2)(x+2)*5 and after you have multiplied through simply add or subtract the remainding numbers together. I hope that helps.
