What is taxonomy? is it a subgroup of organisms
It classifies organisms into different categories, from the most general to more specific ones The most general one is Kingdom (Animalia, plantae ,etc), and the most specific one is species Do you have specific question for that??
just what it is an i have 4 ansewer to pick a subgroup of organisms the classification of plants based on their medicinal uses the science of classification an organism's evolutionary history
I will pick science of classification it is a classification, and not just plants! it can be animals, protists ,etc not evolutionary , cuz that is called phylogeny and taxonomy is not a subgroup :)
thanks
What is a phylogeny? is it an evolutionary history
np, come often :)
yes, phylogeny is the evolutionary history of a species it shows which species have similar origins, and then it will branch out to show their differences
you can search for a picture of phyloengy, it will be more clear
Carolus Linnaeus developed a naming system calledbinomial nomenclature .
yes yes, u know how taxnomy classifies into different categories so binomial nomenclature use genus and species (which are the last 2 groups in taxonomy) to name an organism so by looking at the name, u can tell which organisms are in the same species, and determine which and which are closest related
thanks
