I don't see a question but intuit that the question is the find the number of houses on each floor plan. I will work the problem accordingly.

x = number of houses on Plan I
y = number of houses on Plan II

x + y = 45
2x = y
---------

In x + y = 45 , substitute (2x) for y

x + 2x = 45
3x = 45
x = 15 --> houses on plan I

2(15) = 30 ---> houses on plan II
