I don't see it as being emo at all although it would take talent to write it in a compelling way. You are pretty quick to write off an idea without giving it much thought.

Furthermore, I think it is best you stop making petty generalizations about ideas and internet people. Be more open minded fool. There is nothing emo about a life of tragedy it becomes emo when the character constantly whines about it though. This idea has a high potential for entertainment value, nothing like watching something burn.
