Part 1: Explain, using complete sentences, how to simplify the expression below. Part 2: What is the simplified expression? (3x3y4)(2x2y6)

OpenStudy (jamesj):

You mean this? \[ (3x^3y^4)(2x^2y^6) \]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if so.. then: \[\Large 6x^5\cdot y^{10}\] If not.. \[\Large 36x^2\cdot y^{10}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

just multiply !

OpenStudy (radar):

cuppycake the problem as presented in the asking box is ambigious. It is confusing, because, the reader does not know if the "x" is a multiplication operator or a variable. Does JamesJ have it right? Is that they problem you wish to work?
