f(x) f( g(x)) 5x - 4 5(6x + 3) - 4

This notation means "wherever you see the variable "x" in "5x -4" ... substitute "(6x+3)". So f(g(x)) = 5(6x+3) -4 Now distribute the 5 and simplify. :)
