ASTRONOMY: Which is not an example of a standard candle? 1. Supergiants 2. Supernovae 3. The brightest galaxy in a cluster 4. pulsars 5. Cepheids I would lean towards either the supergiant or the brightest galaxy, but I'm not sure. Thoughts?

A standard candle is a class of astrophysical objects, such as supernovae or variable stars, which have known luminosity due to some characteristic quality says google so option 1. i think this is new to me
