An ideal transformer has 5000 turns on its primary winding which is connected acriss a 240V. If the output terminals of the transformer is rated at 24V, 60W. What is the current in the primary circuit?

power is same for both primary and output (secondary) terminal.. which is 60 W in this case. we have, P=IV here P= 60 W, V (in primary terminal) = 240 V so, by calculation I=0.25 A
