Let w = width and w + 8 the length height = 2 V(w) = (w - 4)(w+ 8 - 4)(2) V(w) =2 (w-4)(w+4) V(w) = 2 w² - 32

If w = 6, then, V(6) = 2* (6)² - 32 V(6) = 72 - 32 = 40 cubic inches
