relationship that exists between the number of people in the room and the number of handshakes.

OpenStudy (experimentx):

i am sure the previous answer was right

OpenStudy (experimentx):

i told you .. let n be the no of people, then the no of handshakes = n(n-1)/2 or then the no of handshakes = no of people x (no of people-1)/2 it does't matter as long as answer is right

OpenStudy (experimentx):

yo whats up

OpenStudy (experimentx):

increases ... how to describe it now.

OpenStudy (experimentx):

yea ... it increases parabolically, http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=y+%3D+x%28x-1%29%2F2

OpenStudy (experimentx):

i exactly don't know, ... is there a term called parabolic increment?? like exponential increment??

OpenStudy (experimentx):

may be in terms of rate of change ... it's quite linear

OpenStudy (experimentx):

the rate of increment of handshakes increses directly with the increment of people

OpenStudy (experimentx):

you are welcome ...! good night ... perhaps i won't be back until tom.
