I don't believe I can not do that, never studied sets. However the less than symbol may be on your compurter by pressing shift key and the , (comma) and the greater than key by pressing shift and . (period).

Also by clicking on the leftmost "Equation" beneath the entry box for post you get an editor that can let you put all kinds of neat symbols\[<>\le \ge \neq\] etc.
