HELP!! The length of a shadow of a building is 40 feet. Tan P = 0.6. Find the height of the building. I GOT 39.4 feet BUT IM NOT SURE IT IS RIGHT

You need another variable to find the actual answer, so I'm not sure how you got 39.4, but it would be Tan(P) = x/40 because as you already figured out, you use opposite/adjacent. So x=40Tan(P)

Oh, wait, P is on the outside, not the inside, right?

If that is true, then it should be Tan(180-P)=x/40. It is 180 - P because it is a supplementary angle.
