Help Needed! Find the area of each of the following shaded parts. Assume all arcs are circular. Leave all answers in terms of pi.

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

the area of the large semi-circle is \[A = 1/2 \pi r^2\] the 2 small semi-circles has the same radius r/2 and combined have the area of a whole circle \[A=\pi (r/2)^2 = 1/4 \pi r^2\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Are of each part is: \[1/2(1/2\pi r ^{2})\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So would the answer be \[A= 1/4\pi r ^{2}\] ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

the green shaded area is A = 1/4 pi r^2 that appears to be the only area you need to find

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes, just the shaded portion. Thank you both for helping me!
