OpenStudy (carniel):

Im curious about this. Why are there always so many people online in Math than anything else..

OpenStudy (shadowfiend):

It's a question we've been trying to answer ourselves (rather, an imbalance we're trying to improve). Partly, it's a self-reinforcing cycle. Partly, it's the fact that it seems more people search for math than anything else on Google and such. Partly, it's that we have more partners in math displaying OpenStudy widgets than in the other topics.

OpenStudy (carniel):

Well thats a epic fail is so many ways. :(

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Math is radical! ~Bumper Sticker

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that is really good question Carniel, It was because a lot people hates math and it was really hard for them. They thought they were going to fail if they don't know the question is. They went to math and post their question and want someone who is really good at math can answer his or her question.

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

there's also this dire problem we face called the brain drain. You see a lot of people in other groups ask questions but dont receive answers. Thus they migrate to the Mathematics group in hope of finding one. This results to a decrease in number in the other groups and a gain in Mathematics group. Also, some enthusiasts of the other groups get bored in their groups because a lot of the people are migrating to the Math group, so the enthusiast themselves migrate to the Mathematics group. This is the sad truth of economics my friend.
