Geometry Question: 2.) Find the surface area of each of the following: See attachments:
Hint: Area of Prism: \[SA_{prism} = Bh\] B = area of Base Area of Right Circular Cylinder: \[SA_{cylinder} = 2 π r2 + 2 π r h\] Area of a Hemisphere: \[Area_{Hemisphere} = \frac{\pi r^2}{2}\]
for the prism I got 90cm^2 but I am having a heck of a time with b.)
Actually, for the prism, you might have to compute the lateral area + area of the base = surface area of prism
That 6.5 cm is a lateral height, not the prism height
ohy boy I am so lost
I can show you what to do
that would be great
for a.) I used the formula 2(b)(s) + b^2 and arrived at 90cm^2, that is a formula that was taken from numerous websites and the book. Now if only I can figure out b.)
