-x^2 +9 > 0 9 > x^2 x = 3, -3

the graph is a parabola with vertex at -9y. It cross the x axis at 3, -3. But you have -x^2+9>0 so 3 is not included
the open interval from -3 to 3 is greater than 0 (-3,3)
