Hi Mich Well yes!
Five Eights of the students in Mr.Hall's class got an A or a B. Four times as many students got an A than got a B. What fraction of Mr.Hall's class got an A?

lets pretend that Mr Hall has 8 students, can you tell me how many got an A or a B ?

not quite, lets look at that first sentence, "five eighths of the class got A or B" , this is saying five out of eight got A or B, so if we have 8 people it means five of them got an A or a B . do you see that? or is it confusing?
