how artificial pollination alters the gentic composition of a population?

Pollen contains male gametes, or genetic material, which gets transferred from one plant to another. When pollen meets an egg, it fertilizes it. So if you introduce new pollen into an otherwise genetically stable population of plants, what happens?

i think, the entire area can be susceptible to a specific pest.
