what is the rule pattern for 9,11,15,23,39,7? i got 9+2=11+4=15+8=23+16=39-32=7 Is it +2 x2?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Is that 7 on the end really part of the series?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well, for the first five the series is An = 2^n + 7 but with that 7 on the end, I don't think there is one but I have been wrong once before, so....

I think that this: what is the rule pattern for 9,11,15,23,39,7 ? is supposed to say: what is the rule pattern for 9,11,15,23,39,71 ? 9, 11, 15, 23 ,39, 71, ... 2^n + 7 --> rule pattern where n = a posititve integer.
