Help me with this hard math!!!? Scott took a part time job as a pollster for the Stonebridge Mall. He was assigned to stand at the west entrance of the mall and approach every 100th person coming into the mall to ask a few questions. While counting the people who passed by, he skipped everyone that he knew. Identify the one piece of information that might be a source of bias. A. He skipped everyone that he knew. B. He stood at the west entrance of the mall. C. He only approached people coming into the mall, not those going out. D. He only asked every 100th person. shou
B or C
i think it might be b
B C and D are all part of his assignment.. the answer is A obivously
a!
No, the answer is not A for sure.
reasoning?
Bias means partiality. His assignment cannot be assumed to be flawless, so the logic that part of his assignment is "correct" is flawed.
It can't be A, because people he knew would give a different answer.
It can't be D, because asking every hundred people is a fair way to choose out of a large group.
now im thinking it's C, because people who enter the mall may feel differently when leaving it.
Both B and C are biased, but I would say that B is more biased, because people could be more likely to go to the mall
for the west entrance.
And, actually, your reasoning is better than mine, so It's probably c.
agree to agree :D
so c? thanks :)
yw
xD
but, this was a crappy problem, because both B and C are biased.
