What is the area of a circle that has a radius of 30 cm?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

C=2*pi*r --> Write the problem. 30=2*pi*r --> Substitute 30 for C. 15=pi*r --> Divide 2 on both sides of the equation. 15/pi=r --> Divide pi on both sides of the equation. r=15/pi --> Switch the terms around. r=4.8 Approximate the answer. So the answer is about 4.8 cm.
