HELP

OpenStudy (anonymous):

D. This method of sampling is unbiased.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

because the company just send the card RANDOMLY, so not biased!

A. This method of sampling is biased. A random selection from women listed in the telephone book has an element of randomness to it but the women listed in the telephone book are NOT a representative sample of ALL women in the population. Read about what is perhaps the most famous sampling bias poll in history: “President” Landon and the 1936 Literary Digest Poll Were Automobile and Telephone Owners to Blame? http://ssh.dukejournals.org/content/36/1/23.abstract
