What are the differences between bacteria and viruses?

OpenStudy (trancenova):

Well the main part is that one is living and the other isn't! Viruses are "particles" while bacteria are made of cells, check this table out: :) http://www.diffen.com/difference/Bacteria_vs_Virus

OpenStudy (carniel):

What he is trying to say is Viruses need Host to survive. There dead indeed and cant be cured unless with a vacine. Bacteria are alive and can be caught through many things. You can get rid of Bacteria easly with a antibiotic. If you have anymore questions ask me. :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

bacteria can be treated with antibiotics but viruses can't and bacteria can be able to conjugate but viruses can't.HIV is a virus disease.
