Infinite series

OpenStudy (anonymous):

When the series\[\sum_{n}^{\infty}\] starts with n being negative, do we still sum with an increasing n?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That wasn't capitalised, full-stopped or apostrophed.

OpenStudy (perl):

yes, we still sum with increasing,

OpenStudy (perl):

unless your upper limit is negative infinity, which i have never seen

OpenStudy (perl):

it is redundant though, since you can just make your terms negative. so theres no point in having negative infinity .
