I am wondering about this. I am puzzled daja2fly, Sorry but I can not get any of those options with what I have understood was the problem. Suggest you carefully review the problem and be sure you have included all aspects. Is it a written problem, do you have the original problems, or is it a copied problem?

Good idea, I come up with the square root of 275, which was irrational.

It looks like the option 4, they squared the 36 and then summed the square root 11!

Don't figure that is right, and the first two integer solutions can't be dealing with an irrational square root 11. Just don't see how any of those options could be the answer!
