Do you know about congruent triangles? If two triangles are congruent then their corresponding sides and angles are congruent (= to each other). Do you know about SAS? If a triangle has a side-angle-side congruent to another, they are congruent.

A square has equal sides and equal angles, so the two triangles formed by the diagonal and sides are congruent.
