Can anyone recommend biochemistry lecture videos or other (free) audio/video resources that teach the basics of the subject? Language-wise, English is ideal, but German works too. I don't need literature recommendations at this time: I already have access to a number of textbooks. Thanks!

I have 28 lectures in a playlist on Youtube, feel free to use it. http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLFC8C04DDB763152A&feature=mh_lolz

Thanks exuras, but it says the playlist is private -- I can't view it.

Try again, sorry i should have adjusted that before.

Hi Calliope - I highly recommend Khan Academy's Youtube videos, which you can find here: http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL72DDD40BD2F0FDFE. Khan Academy was created by an MIT graduate (Salmon Khan) to provide free help in math, physics, chemistry and more - he's gotten worldwide attention due to the millions of students who have been helped by his online videos. Check out his website http://www.khanacademy.org/ to see his other topics.

Oops, that should have been Salman - not salmon like the fish. ;)

Thanks guys! I'll try both of those.

try http://ocw.mit.edu/courses/biology/7-012-introduction-to-biology-fall-2004/video-lectures/ if u dont know the names of bob weinberg and eric lander, u really should. top MIT professors

These are all good links. As ttom points out, there are a few different versions of the intro to biology class at MIT. Some of them focus more exclusively than others on molecular biology and biochemistry (which, at the intro level, are quite similar). There is also an MIT scholar version of the course (with it's corresponding OCW scholar group on Open Study) for those who prefer a more structured self learning experience. http://ocw.mit.edu/courses/audio-video-courses/#biology.
