Is there anyway we can get the "your questions" button back? That button let me be able to see my past questions without scrolling down the main list or scrolling down my own list (which has become quite long also).
just go to your profile..it's all there
Me too misses that 'your question' button. I second your suggestion.
You can't go back because it won't work. But you also can click your username above next to Home and you will see ur old questions
yea but you have to scroll through all of your questions to get to that one question that's deeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep under all of the questions you've ever asked right? While the "Your Questions" button made it so that you could see ALL of your questions for that ONE group
hmmm..seems i never saw this...when was this removed?
You're right LifeIsADangerousGame and @shadowfiend can you look into this.
@igbasallote I think it was removed when we got the "Closed Questions" button, but I'm not sure.
Hm. I see. So what you're concerned about is that sometimes you may want to find a question of yours that's fairly new for that group, but in your profile is buried between bunches of questions for other groups? @darthsid may have some more thoughts here.
Yea, like i got some help on my research paper maybe a week ago, but since I don't have "Your Questions" anymore, I have to search through all of my questions and I couldn't find it.
This is a great question. The reason it was dropped was because of the open and closed questions feature. You could help us a lot by answering these two questions: 1. If there was a "your questions" section, would it trouble you to not be able to see which questions are open and which are closed, without having to click on them? 2. Would you want to see only questions you asked, or both the questions you asked and answered there?
Well to the first one, I didn't really mind not being able to see which questions were opened or closed but I do think that the "closed" button is a good feature. To the second question by "there" you mean in the "Your Questions" button right? I think I'd just want the questions I've asked and not answered (the questions I've answered).
@darthsid, I think this whole closed and open questions is unnecessary(no offense). I don't see why we should close a question in order to ask a new one, though the 'bump' feature is quite useful. Most users won't think of surfing through the closed questions and helping a person in need. Also, suppose you have a lot of doubts and very less time, you have to keep closing questions to which you didn't get a satisfactory answer just to get the other doubts cleared.
That's exactly the point. No one should have to surf through the closed questions. If you have lots of doubts and very little time, and the answering rate isn't working out for you, in our observations, it's extremely unlikely that you're getting any learning done.
Thanks shadow for agreeing with me.
Er… I didn't. Questions are closed so they don't clutter people's feeds. That is intentional.
Also, once a question is closed, users won't think of searching there to give medals. Today I just answered a question and before I could get a medal, that user closed it.
