Solve 6^x = 24

OpenStudy (anonymous):

take logs of both sides: log(6^x) = log(24) using the log law log(a^x) = xlog(a) xlog(6)=log(24) x= log(24)/log(6)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Solve 6^x = 24 x ≈ 30.84 x ≈ 1.77 x ≈ 0.56 x ≈ 0.23 These are the answers, Thank you so much to who answers it!! (:

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so you're ok now?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do i just divide log 6 by log 24?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you divide log(24) by log(6) , but do you understand how we got there?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes thank you so much!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no problem :)
