I am applying for a freelance writer at Academia-Research and I'm required to submit on the topic: "There is no hope for doing perfect research", but I did not quite understand the following instructions: Please, refer to http://owl.english.purdue.edu/owl/section/2/11 - link to learn academic writing techniques. Sources: 2 (mandatory!) Pages: 2-3 Topic: There is no hope of doing perfect research (griffiths,1998,p97). Do you agree? Description: Discuss with detailed reference to at least two examples of research done. Hoping you can help me understand the instructions. Thank you.
Okay, so we can start with the first one. The site that is given is a resource you can use for writing techniques (like it says), but you don't need to use it, it's just there. The two sources mean that for whatever you write, you need to have two outside sources to back it up. For instance, if I was writing on oil production and needed two sources, two good ones might be actual oil producers. Articles, websites, books, etc. Make sure you lable them properly though. You can google how to cite your sources if you aren't sure. 1-2 pages mean just that. Two pages. (I figured you understood this, but decided I'd be safe). They are giving you a topic. You need to do some research and follow their directions to take a stance. If you think you CAN do perfect research, say why and back it up with sources. If not, once again say why, and back it up. Hope this helped.
