Can someone correct them please! DID i place the quotation marks correctly?
1.Brent said, "It is getting late."
2."Today is Friday", said Mary Lou, and we have a three day vacation from school.
3."Have you ever seen an alligator?" asked Wendy.
4."I can't go with you", said Fred. Thank you for asking me.
5."When I was your age", my father said, "I used a typewriter to write my reports."

On the second, the comma goes in the quotes because it's still continuing the sentence. Then, because after 'and' continues the sentence, there should be quotations on "and we have a three day vacation from school." Because she's still speaking.
On four, same thing, the comma should be in the quotes. And on the outside of "Thank you for asking me."
And five, comma in quotes.
